I started One More Layer because I kept running into technical explanations that told me what something did, but not really why it worked that way.

So this is where I go deeper.

I write about AI, distributed systems, infrastructure, algorithms, hardware, and the ideas underneath modern technology.

The goal is simple: take one interesting question, understand it from first principles, and explain it clearly with enough depth that it actually sticks.

You don’t need to already know everything. I’ll build up the context as we go.
